In River of Treasures, filmmakers and explorers tell this story of cultural invasion and an ambitious expedition in search of lost treasures. It begins with the discovery of 350-year-old half-burnt letters written by the King of Poland mentioning a ship carrying priceless marbles, which lies somewhere deep under the water – where, exactly, no one knows.<\/p>\n

The film takes the audience on a ten-year(!) journey to locate these sunken treasures, from library archives and historic castles to the bottom of the Vistula River. It is a story of sheer power, greed, struggle and reconciliation – but also of the beauty of science and the power of knowledge.<\/p>\n
